Announced back in March, Apple’s latest update of its Tv App is here. Available for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and compatible Samsung smart TVs, the most significant new features are the Channels and personalized sections like ’’For You’’ and ’’Kids’’.
The new App has a user-friendly design created to help you scroll/swipe less and offers grand imagery for movies and TV shows.
The new Apple TV App has more than 100,000 films and TV series available on iTunes and a lot 4K HDR content that you can rent or buy, without having to leave the app.
Channels, the new feature, gives you the opportunity to subscribe directly from the application to Showtime, HBO, Smithsonian Channel, Tastemade and many more.
You can also download movies and TV shows for offline viewing to your iPhone or iPad, something, for instance, HBO does not offer on its own App. Channels subscription can be shared and used on up to six devices through Family Sharing, while having a new Kids section for the little ones in your family with titles recommended by Apple.
Mac users will still have to wait until later this fall for a laptop and desktop app.
