Acer Predator Thronos Is Here to Deliver All Your Gaming Needs

Acer is one of the most well-known names in the gaming industry, especially since their wildly popular Predator series. Now, the company’s only aim is to solidify its position on the market with premium products dedicated to the most demanding gamers. And sometimes to those with pretty thick wallets, if you consider the Predator Thronos.

How can the Thronos be described in better terms than as an actual throne for a gamer?

The structure has an ergonomic seat, drink holder and elbow rests that guarantee comfort while a mechanical system lifts the roof, tilts the backrest or raises the footrest for maximum comfort.

Altogether, it measures 153.8 x 100 x 158 cm and weighs 180 kg, so it’s hard not to imagine you’re in a spaceship.

It hosts three 27-inch QHD monitors, and the users can modify their rig as they see more fit or they can select one of the pre-designed set-ups.

Acer is also bringing a couple of new PC’s to their Thronos line, one of them being the Predator Orion 5000 with an 8th generation processor,  i7 + 8700K model and an Intel Z370 chipset. This setup would allow the user to mount a GeForce GTX 1080 easily.

There’s also the Predator Helios 500 –  a portable PC that supports Intel Core processors up to the 8th generation Core i9 + models, a GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card, Intel Optane memory, and has up to 64 GB of RAM memory. It has a 17.3-inch 4K UHD display.

The frame has a transparent side panel that shields electromagnetic emissions and shows the inside of the device, while the IceTunnel 2.0 design divides the system into different thermal zones and provides optimal air flow to each sector.

During the reveal, the Thronos also showcased the Predator Cestus 510, a gaming mouse with a geometric design and customizable buttons.

All in all, the Predator Thronos will be available in three configurations:

The Predator Thronos is obviously aimed at the gamers with more generous pockets, probably why it was launched in the United Arab Emirates – the price for the Predator Thronos starts at AED 99,999, which roughly translates, after conversion, into $27,225.
