Have you ever imagined yourself as some sort of gaming royalty of sorts? If you have, every royalty needs a throne fit for their needs and let me tell you: Acer has delivered on it with it’s latest Predator Thronos Air Gaming Chair which the company has unveiled at IFA.
Acer itself calls it “a sleek gaming cave for the hard core enthusiasts” and it still, somehow, sounds like an understatement, especially when you actually stand next or on the actual thing. It’s a monster with a structure made out of steel which cocoons inside a chair, a modular desk and a monitor arm.
The chair can be adjusted in a number of angles and even comes with a basic massage function built into it, in case you needed a bit of a rub after you have destroyed all your in-game enemies. The keyboard and the mouse tray are also adjustable, which means that you will be as comfortable as you can be. Oh and there’s also a foot rest added into the mix, just because.
The monitor arm can support up to three displays and can be manually raised and lowered via a handle that can be found bellow the middle monitor stand. If you’re into livestreaming, the chair also offers a camera set right above that same monitor.
The PC can be easily set onto a platform set behind the chair and a cable management system will help you keep all your cords and wires neatly tucked away. Other additional features that are offered by the company (but sold separately) include a seat stabilizer, a cup holder, headset holder, USB hub and camera.
The Thronos Air also happens to be some $6,000 cheaper than its predecessor, standing at $13,999, and will go on sale in Europe and North America toward the end of this year.
