A new upgrade for Sonos Playbar may finally be on the table, or so it seems according to a photo exposed by Dave Zatz at Zatz Not Funny. His photos show both black and white versions, and there is no power outlet or HDMI ports, which may be recessed within the ledge, maybe.
A report by 9to5 Mac confirms the new Playbar will integrate Dolby Atmos and Apple AirPlay 2 support
New versions of Sonos Play:5 wireless speaker and Sub subwoofer are apparently in the works too, according to the same 9to5 Mac report, confirmed by Zatz.
Sonos S2 is being released in June and the company its operating system will power “the next generation” of Sonos products.
Sono’s Playbar was launched 7 years ago, in 2013, and the company hasn’t come up with an update since.
