Samsung had initially promised to roll out the Android 9 Pie to the Galaxy S9 phones sometime in January but it seems like the company decided to give the users a Christmas present instead and released the update earlier than anticipated.
Among the countries where the update has been spotted we can count Germany, the United Arab Emirates and Montenegro, the Netherlands and Slovakia so far.
The update will change the software version to G965FXXU2CRLI, the package counts a serious 1744.24MB and comes with One UI and an improved Android skin, among other features.
If you do own a Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus and haven’t received the update automatically, you can check for it by accessing Settings, going to the Software update menu and tap the Download updates manually.
If the update has not arrived yet, then you’ll need to be just a little patient because it seems to be spreading quite fast so far.
