As we’ve recently reported, iOS users have reported dozens of pending app updates notified in the App Store, even for a couple of apps that have been recently updated. The problem was plaguing iPhone and iPad users seemed to be related to a bug which displayed the message “This app is no longer shared with you”.

All affected customers can now catch a break from the updates, as the bug was fixed by Apple, and the numerous reissued updates seem to have been part of the fix for the Family Sharing problem.

The apps were behaving as if they were paid downloads and they no longer had the right to be used. Some clients solved the problem by reaching Settings > General > iPhone Storage, then simply reinstall it, without losing its data.

The Giant hasn’t offered any other information regarding this issue, but it was pretty fast to fix it.
