It’s finally happening! The Magic Keyboard that Apple teased alongside the 2020 iPad Pro earlier this year is on its way to reach more devices!
According to a leak by l0vetodream (via MacRumors), the iPad Pro’s Magic Keyboard will be available on more iPad models.
The leak doesn’t make it specific on which variant would be getting the Magic Keyboard first, but our guess is the rumored fourth-generation iPad Air. The device is most likely to integrate a mini-LED screen, an under-screen variant of Touch ID and a USB-C port in place of a Lightning port, with a display between 11-inch and 10.8 inches.
The Magic Keyboard is available so far for the new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro variants, the 2018 iPad Pro models, the third generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro, as well as the first generation 11-inch iPad Pro. It magnetically attaches to the device and it also integrates a USB-C port for passthrough charging, as well as a floating cantilever design if you need to adjust its view angle.
The Magic Keyboard is ‘magically’ flexible, as it adapts according to your needs, whether you work on your desk or in bed.
It’s not clear how Apple would get the iPad Air customers to pay over half the price of the device for an accessory, though, as the the Magic Keyboard for the 11-inch iPad Pro costs about $299.
