Apple has recently opened the first store in Brooklyn and surprised us with its decision to keep the original inspiration for the place, while incorporating some of their newest design elements #mobilemagic
The store is located in hipster Williamsburg, welcoming customers to a forum, open area for presentations and partners in a special boardroom. The interior replicates a town square, with its exposed brick walls and “Avenues” that line the walls, highlighting accessories and gadgets that change with the seasons.
Macs and Apple Watches rest in the middle of the room, on oak tables. You’ll be wondering where charging stations are; simply wave your hand and watch them magically appear to the surface. The ceiling has received special treatment for the first time from Apple. In this shop, you’ll definitely hear your friends and colleagues well, without being disturbed by excess noise from other visitors or products that are being tested. That’s because the architect used perforated timber to get it done.
Apple got out of its comfort zone with polished, concrete floors, retaining some elements from the industrial style present in the area. The facade of the building has also been preserved.
Check it out at 247 Bedford Avenue, on the corner of North 3rd Street.
