Take On Me is an AR app for iOS written using Apple’s ARKit. This wonderful toolbox allows iOS developers to enhance their apps with augmented reality content without making an engine themselves.
Trixi Studios spent a few months to rotoscope the frames in order to create a beautiful blend of real and hand-drawn images. This is the full effect:

It’s a proof of concept software that takes the form of an augmented reality iOS app. Unfortunately, it’s not yet released to the public, but maybe A-ha fans can write a few messages to Trixi Studios.
The developers certainly have a lot of ideas and their Youtube channel is filled with impressive augmented reality projects. Trixi Studios is a Chicago-based team of games industry vets who have collaborated with Google, Lenovo and other big names for AR projects.
