Bunq Metal Card Gets A Tree Planted For Every €100 Spent

Meet the Green Card, a metal card by Fintech startup Bunq which for every €100 spent plants a tree. The initiative is part of the company’s partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects to support reforestation worldwide.

The metal Green Card has a six years life instead of four years, to make it more environmentally friendly, of course. The metal is also recyclable material and has similarities with the Travel Card in terms of functionality.

There is also a limited edition with “Founders Edition” engraved on it and is already sold out.

The card does not involve any foreign exchange fee, as it uses the Mastercard exchange rate without adding a markup fee.

To get the Green Card you need to pay €99 per year, and €0.99 per ATM withdrawal, but at least you’ll support reforestation.

What are your thoughts on the Green Card? Is it worth getting?
