Update: As of 8.43am PST, both products are gone, leaving only one refurbished 13.3-inch MacBook Pro 2.7GHz Intel i5 in the Apple Store.
Did you feel like Apple’s TouchBar was a useless, expensive addition to MacBook Pro last year? Well, now, you can skip it altogether. Apple has started selling MacBook Pro without the interactive bar #hardwaremagic
The latest model has popped up on their store as a refurbished item. Indeed, the company ditched the TouchBar and is selling the laptop in two configurations, repaired and repackaged. Both are Silver, 13.3-inches, one with Intel Core i5 at 2.0GHz and another with Intel Core i7 at 2.4GHz. These two sell for $1,439 and $1,869.
That’s a 12%-16% discount, depending on the configuration. You’ll still need to check with the site as products come and go and you might not find these two available at moment of search. There’s no info regarding the ones with TouchBar, though, but hey, would you really pay more for that feature?!
If you do decide to grab an Apple product from the refurbished store, you need to know that they come with a 1-year, expandable warranty through Apple Care program.
