According to Sony Alpha Rumors, a new camera that will prove to be above the Alpha A6500 -but not its successor- might be ready for a holiday season release.
The camera would mark the first of a completely new line for Sony, which will feature a central electronic viewfinder that is similar to the company’s other, full-frame mirrorless cameras.
According to the rumors, the camera would be similar to the Alpha A9 in more of a ‘mini‘ kind of way. So far we don’t really know much about the full specifications but it might prove to far exceed the abilities of the Fujifilm X-T3 but match the Alpha A9’s in-body image stabilization and the 20fps burst shooting speed.
The New York PhotoPlus Event is just around the corner so we could hear something about this mini A9 camera shortly or, perhaps, during the event itself. We’ll keep you posted.
