If you ever found yourself planning a trip, you most likely spent a few good hours opening tab after tab in your browser and trying to put prices and locations in order to ensure you get the best deal, especially if you were traveling on a budget.
That can often prove to be a headache-inducing situation, more so if you are planning a trip that involves multiple stops: you have to check Airbnb and hotels as well as look at the reviews and make some sense of all the different prices you’ll find on different platforms.
There’s a number of aggregator services out there that can help out, such as the Expedia Group or TripAdvisor – they all operate a number of services that try to address all the market segments but sometimes it’s hard to deal with them too.
That is why French startup Cozycozy took it upon itself to try create a service that can simplify the booking process by adding up a number of different services into one single interface.
That means that the users can find hotels, Airbnb listings, hostels, campsites and even boats, all contained within the same browser window. The results can, of course, be filtered by price and style of accommodation.
The service searches across all the other platforms for the results that are closest to your demands and then redirects you to the original listing – it does not work directly with any of them so you will not be able to make the booking directly from within the service.
Cozycozy raised $4.5 million in a funding and its co-founder and chairman is Pierre Bonelli, the same person who found Liligo.com, one of the most popular flight comparison websites in France. Needless to say, the new platform is in good hands and has all the budget it could ever need to make things happen.
So next time you’re looking to travel and find yourself dreading planning the bookings, you’ll now finally have a more comfortable alternative to turn to.
