One of the most anticipated games in recent years, Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding, just raised everyone’s expectations even more with a release trailer.
Yes, this trailer not only shows off more than eight minutes of the action-adventure game and gets you hyped with an Apocalyptica soundtrack, it also reveals the launch date. Death Stranding will launch on November 8th, 2019 as a PS4 exclusive.
Because the game was unveiled back at E3 2016 and, in the years since, little was known about it, everyone assumed the launch date was pushed back and the game was to be a PS5 exclusive.

Fortunately, that’s not the case and you won’t have to wait long to experience Hollywood stars Mads Mikkelsen, Norman Reedus and Guillermo del Toro in a video game setting.
For those who missed the hype, this is what the legendary designer Kojima had to say about his upcoming title.
“Death Stranding” is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the “Strand” or connection. As Sam Porter Bridges, you will attempt to bridge the divides in society, and in doing create new bonds or “Strands” with other players around the globe. Through your experience playing the game, I hope you’ll come to understand the true importance of forging connections with others.
In terms of gameplay, you can expect an action adventure with stealth elements and quite a bit of horror, mechanics that made Kojima Studios one of the most appreciated game developers around.
