At China’s own Consumer Electronics event, one company proved you don’t have to sacrifice aesthetics for performance. Dlodlo devised a VR headset that looks more like stylish sunglasses than nerdy goggles #realitymagic
Dlodlo (pronounced Dodo) V One looks like a sport-inspired pair of sunglasses, weighs just 78 grams and is 16mm thick. With a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution display (1,600 pixels per inch for each eye), 100-degree field of view, 9-axis sensor and 10ms latency, you’re guaranteed a great visual experience with no vertigo whatsoever #blessthesefolks.
V One connects to an external processing unit, of course, but we’re not talking about a phone; instead, it goes well with the company’s D-BOX processing box and DLOS VR ROM operating system, based on Android’s 5.0.
Dlodlo says their device works with an open API and app store from where you can download VR content but stay tuned to learn more after they present a working model in NYC, later this year.
