The Vivo Next daringly went where no smartphone went before in the previous decade and included a pop-up camera as a major feature. Now, a smaller Chinese brand follows Vivo’s lead (it was quite impressive!) and prepares to unveil another smartphone with a pop-up camera.
Meet the Elephone U2, a pop-up camera featuring smartphone that will make its debut at the Global Sources Expo, later this week in Hong Kong.
While not many details are known, a banner on Elephone’s website brags about the pop-up module hosting four cameras and the in-display fingerprint scanner. A leaked video also popped out on YouTube but, unfortunately, that one doesn’t really focus on specifications, just on the overall interface.
In any case, as the Elephone U2 will debut this week, we’ll find out more soon enough and let you know if it’s a worthy alternative to the Vivo Nex.
