Or should we say that the phone is actually backpacking on a battery?
However you choose to view the situation, the fact remains that Energizer really went out there and attached this massive 18,000mAh battery to its Power Max P18K Pop smartphone to shut up everyone who complains about battery life.
To begin with, the phone measures no less than 153 x 74.8 x 18mm and most of that bulk is the battery itself. According to Energizer, you can play music continuously on the phone for about 4 days, get 2 days of video out of it or just benefit of 50 days of standby.
The phone comes with USB Power Delivery 2.0 quick charge support at 18W and, by all accounts, a full charge takes around 8 hours.
And yes, you can totally use the phone as a charger and juice up your other devices.
The display measures 6.2 inches, a FullHD resolution and doesn’t feature a notch – instead, Energizer opted for a pop-up camera (hence the ‘Pop’ in the name, you see) with a 16MP main and a secondary, 2MP depth sensor. On the back – a triple camera setup of 12MP, 5MP and 2MP.
Android 9 out of the box, a MediaTek processor and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage finish this elephant of an ensemble which will launch sometime this summer.
For the moment, Energizer hasn’t revealed the pricetag it set on the Power Max P18K Pop but it will most likely not come for cheap.
