You know the clingy partner, who wants to know your every thought, takes 90% of your time with their personal problems and smiles innocently while doing it? Facebook is starting to look a lot like it. They’ve just announced testing SMS integration in Messenger app on Android phones.
What does that mean? No need to access messages with a push on the envelope icon, not anymore. You simply reply and send from Messenger, where you spend most of your time, anyway (at least, that’s what they suppose). Indeed, you will be able to send emojis and GIF’s easier this way, since text messages will benefit from Facebook’s features, but is it appealing enough to make you attach your personal number to the account?
Unless you’ve done it already, of course. If so, prepare to see SMS’ colored differently than social media messages and displayed like this, according to Android Police:
Another Facebook update will be account switching. If you have a personal and professional account, a shared family tablet or you simply need to use the app from a friend’s phone because yours is charging, you will be able to do that from Settings really soon.
Will these features be essential to you or do you want to see some other improvements from Mark Zuckerberg?
