Earlier this month, Fall Guys announced an opportunity for individuals and groups: whoever would be willing to donate the most to Special Effect would get branded Fall Guys costumes. Many bids later, the winners have been announced.
As reported by both the Fall Guys and Aim Lab twitters, the winners of this contest are G2 Esports, Ninja, MrBreast, and Aim Lab. G2 Esports is, as the name suggests, an esports company. Both Ninja and MrBeast are known for their content creation, with Ninja being one of the premier Fortnite streamers and MrBeast doing variety (and gaming) content. Aim Lab is a company focused on building training solutions for first person and third person shooters.
While the winning bid was a grand total of $1,000,000, bids for this donation started with PC hardware manufacturer Cooler Master at 212 euros according to The Verge. The total will be donated to Special Effect. Special Effect is a UK based charity supporting gaming solutions for those with physical disabilities.
Perhaps its no surprise that bidding was so competitive. From expanding to mobile (in China) to being the most downloaded PlayStation Plus game, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been a rousing success. The game and its costumed jellybean-like mascots have become so popular that fan art of costumes designs have sprung up all over the internet. The opportunity to have a costume in the game while also donating to an important charity is definitely one that is enticing for many.
It is unclear when these new costumes (or singular costume) will be released.
