Besides the smartphone devices heavily rumored in the last couple of weeks, Google is planning to update its home speaker range. In fact, the company is set to unveil today a miniaturized version of the Google Home speaker, Home Mini, cutting down the price significantly #objectmagic
Google Home Mini is really more compact than the original Home, has four LEDs on top and comes in three colors, thanks to different fabric covers. It’s supposed to go on sale for $49 (roughly £40 and AU$65), just like the Echo Dot. But you might even get the chance to buy it at half the price via Walmart. The company leaked the Home Mini listing, with a photo of the puck-like device and what’s likely to be Pixel 2 XL:
And, since their Google Express deal, you’ll be able to buy the device with a $25 discount until January 15th. In the end, a Home Mini purchased from Walmart would amount to $25, a more than decent price for a new gadget, if you ask me. Of course, we’ll have to wait a bit more until we have a definitive price. It’s also rumored that the Home Mini will ship this October 19th.
Google will host their event at 9am PST (San Francisco), when we’ll have a clear answer to all our Google device questions.
