Do you think virtual reality might be a good way to attract customers and readers? Google agrees. The company has released a VR viewer that allows website and apps integration. #realitymagic
Using a HTML and JavaScript code available on Github, publishers, bloggers and companies will be able to integrate their photos in sites and iOS/Android apps so they can be seen by users in VR. To enable this feature, there are some requirements: the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari for desktop, iOS 8 and above/KitKat 4.4 and above for mobile.
You can see in the example above that you simply have to drag around your mouse to observe the whole image on desktop. For better view, you just click on the fullscreen button.
Google’s intention is clearly to involve more users in VR, spreading the technology across platforms the majority of us have access in this moment.
