Google has finally announced the official date the Pixel 3a and 3a XL will be welcome into the world – May 7th that is – with a little help from the Avengers.
Google’s online store has a new page up that promotes the upcoming Avengers movie, Endgame, which sports a big ‘G’ logo in the middle with “Help is on the way” written under it. In addition, it boldly and maybe a little threateningly, announces that “On May 7, something big is coming to the Pixel universe“.
Apparently, a new Playmoji pack will arrive bundled up with the Pixels, which will include some of the Marvel superheroes.
The company also added some Avengers action to their announcement in a video that shows how your typical New Yorker would take alien spaceship selfies and navigate their way around the city while the superheroes are fighting, all thanks to the ever-faithful Pixel.
We don’t know a lot of things about the upcoming flagship phones but some rumors and leaks have hinted that both of them will have FHD+ displays: 5.6 inches in the case of the Pixel 3a while the 3a XL will have a 6 inch panel. Google has kept quiet so far but with the announcement date fast approaching, we’re bound to see more leaks soon enough.
