LG might have put its hopes on the G5 and Friends seen at MWC 2016, but that doesn’t mean they forgot about their younger fans, who expect quality at reasonable prices. That’s why their launching too budget-friendly smartphones with 5-inch screens called K5 and K8 this week.
K8, the higher end model, will conquer Asia, Africa, the Middle East, CIS and Latin America while its little brother, K5, will be present just in Europe, CIS and Latin America while in Mexico will arrive under a different name – Q6. K5 has a metallic finish and comes in Gold, Silver and Titan while K8 boasts a woven texture that gives it a refined look. Juno Cho, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile, says they’ll be the perfect partner to users:
“The K8 and K5 will be fantastic choices for anyone who is seeking a smartphone with great looks at a great price,”
K8 comes with 720p screen and an 8MP/5MP camera setup, while K5 has a 480 x 854px resolution and only 5Mp/2MP selfie cam that recognizes gestures, so you don’t have to press a button every single time. Both come with similar powers, packing a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. K5 has the Android 5.1 Lollipop software on, while its more sophisticated version has a newer one and 2.5D Arc Glass on its front. On K8 you have LTE connectivity and Bluetooth 4.2.
