We have known since a while ago that Google is working on a new platform that might replace the Android, called the Fuchisa OS but we haven’t really heard much about it since.
But now we finally know that Huawei is using the Honor Play to test the new operating system.
According to 9to5Google, a Huawei engineer has made a new commit to the project just this week, commit which mentions Kirin 970 support. It also states that Fuchsia’s core platform, Zircon, is also being tested on the Honor Play.
This would make the Honor Play the very first consumer device to be tested with Fuchsia which also makes Huawei the first company outside Google to contribute to the project.
