After releasing two smartphone powerhouses two weeks ago, Huawei is back… on the VR scene. The tech giant has announed its first VR headset that works with the best smartphones from the company and is the first to have 360-degree sound field on the go #realitymagic
Like Samsung, Huawei is coupling the device with P9, P9 Plus and Mate 8, its latest flagships to offer an enhanced experience to the user. The headset has a touchpad on the right that helps you navigate within the apps and a button to go back to the previous screen, positioned just before it. The lenses are adjustable and offer an anti-blue light that helps your eyes adjust to the screen.
If you wear glasses, you’ll have to take them off but fortunately, there’s a ring on top of the device that helps you see things in focus still.
Huawei said customers should expect access to 4,000 movies (no all VR, though), 40 games and hundreds of panoramic images and tours, free of charge.
While this year, most of the VR headsets are launching, a report showed that by the end of 2025, 135.6 million VR headsets will probably find their owner.
