With the Huawei Watch 2 just fresh out into the world, Huawei has already patented a new concept for the next model.

Though not a lot of details were released about the watch, the patent does show that the company considers shipping it with a pair of Bluetooth earbuds. Nothing special about that, until you realize that the patents show the earbuds could come embedded within the watch.

Now that makes you a bit curious, doesn’t it?

The earbuds would be water resistant and have active noise canceling. According to the patent, they could be stored inside the watch through a capsule with a spring mechanism or be magnetically attached in the watch band.

We’ve seen a good number of patents that have never come to fruition before, so word to the wise: don’t get your hopes up. But we do admit it’s something we’d look forward to seeing in action.
