If you got money to spend and need an excuse to drop them on a luxury item, Huawei is here to provide. The company just released its luxury smartphone, developed in collaboration with Porsche, in Australia: the
Mate 20 Pro RS.
The phone has a Kirin 980 chipset, which boasts the cutting-edge 7nm process and AI capabilities.
The case was obviously inspired by Porsche: it features a glass back flanked by two strips of genuine leather and on that sleek, all-black back we’ll find a Leica Triple Camera system that hosts a 40MP main camera, a 20MP ultra-wide angle lens and an 8MP telephoto.
The phone hosts a 4,300mAh battery with the 40W Huawei SuperCharge that can go from zero to a 70% charge in only 30 minutes.
The phone features both an in-display fingerprint sensor as well as a 3D Face Unlock system. Huawei’s claim is that the system authenticates users with a false acceptance rate of under 1/1,000,000 and can identify them even in dark environments.
If you’re interested, the phone can be purchased from JB Hi-Fi, the Leica store or Mobileciti online for ‘just’ AU$2,600.
