Ikea’s Sonos-compatible Symfonisk speakers now benefit from more colorful accessories. The Symfonisk bookshelf speaker now has red or blue fronts, while the Symfonisk lamp speaker has new washable fabric sleeves in the same colors.
For the moment, the speakers’ colorful fronts and sleeves can only be purchased from a few international stores and cost between €8 and €10, for delivery or to pick up in-store.
To control the speakers via Alexa, Siri, Google Assistant or Sonos app you will also need the Tradfri Gateway which works for Ikea blinds, lights, and speakers and cost approximately $35 in the US, and is currently discounted from £25 to £22. You can link up to 50 devices to a Tradfri gateway, including steering devices and lights.
Ikea partnered with Sonos in 2016 for the 2019 launch of two speakers, both being co-branded with Sonos and Ikea logos.
