Instagram’s new Collabs feature allows two accounts to co-author content – a post or even a Reel – with the respective content being featured jointly to each user’s followers while sharing the same comment thread and number of likes. Users will be able to spot the Collabs feature and enable it from the tagging screen. The other account will just need to accept the invite.
Aside from the Collab feature, the platform is also testing a new way to add a nonprofit fundraiser to a post, as well as developing the experience to create photo and video content on a desktop.
Although the latter may sound like not such a big deal, Instagram’s desktop functionality it’s something users have been waiting for in a while, and the platform had no improvements on the desktop app in a while. since it joined DMs to the browser last year.
Among other new features, users will also soon benefit from a new way to create fundraisers in posts by tapping the “+” button on the top right of the platform or testing new music features for Reels.
