A Techcrunch report today confirm the previous rumors we’ve heard – Instagram will now let content creators and influences upload videos up to one hour long as part of the new IGTV feature.
Embedded in the Explore tab, IGTV expands the 1-minute limit to videos to 60 minutes, in a push by Instagram to obtain content that’s more similar to YouTube vlogs.
✍Instagram Will Soon Allow You to Mute Posts✍
According to some influencers, they’ve been advised to post videos of around 10 minutes in length, just like the content they push on rival Google’s platform. The new videos will be vertical and will have a resolution of up to 4K, with the possibility to add links to direct viewers outside the platform. As for the users, they will be able to pause the videos in question and come back to them later.
✍You Can Now Share Posts in Instagram Stories✍
All this comes from a Wall Street Journal report and a TechCrunch investigation but, apparently, we’ll find out more in a minute. Instagram apparently plans to fully reveal the new IGTV later today.
