Ledger, the biggest maker of physical cryptocurrency wallets, debuted at CES 2019 its first wallet compatible with smartphones – the Ledger Nano X.
It’s great timing as, for the first time in months, Bitcoin broke the $4000 threshold, so crypto-enthusiasts will be much more likely to invest again in wallets.
Solving a pain point known to all who tried buying digital coins, the Ledger Nano X adds Bluetooth to let users check their funds on mobile, not just on PCs or laptops. This is probably why the Ledger Nano X also received the 2019 “Innovation Award in Cyber Security and Personal Privacy” from CES.
“The fact that we have a mobile application and it works with the Nano X is really the big evolution of the hardware for this lineup,” said Ledger CEO in a statement to CoinDesk.
Even better, the Ledger Nano X has a bigger screen than the tiny Nano S and, once it launches, the $69 Nano S will receive a price cut.
