Lexar launched its 1GB SD card around 15 years ago and, as if to mark the passage of time and put things into perspective, the company made an announcement at CES this year that its Lexar Professional 633x SDXC UHS-I card is now ready for sale.

We don’t need to list you all the things you can do with this SD card – suffice to say it can deal with storing around 500 hours of video.

It can capture 1080p full-HD and 3D videos and has transfer speeds of up to 95MB/s, which makes it a good fit for 4K video or continuous shooting. It also offers V30 video performance.

For the performance it delivers, you can’t expect the card to come cheap: it’s currently on sale for a recommended price of $507.
