A lot of smartphone companies have been eager to reveal their phones this week, in spite of having main events already set for the official releases during the MWC Barcelona, and LG is one of them.
The company took everyone by surprise today by unveiling three mid-range smartphones: the Q60, K50 and the K40.
All the phones come with octa-core CPUs but the chipsets are still kept under wraps for the time being.
Let’s tackle them one by one, starting with the Q60, which arrives with a 6.26 inch HD+ screen, a notched display and 3GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. All powered up by a 3,500mAh battery.
It has a 16MP main camera, alongside a 2MP depth sensor and 5MP ultra-wide angle lens. On the front, we can find a 13MP camera.
Next, we have the K50 – it features the same 6.26 inch display and 3,500mAh battery as the Q60 but has a memory configuration of 3GB with 32GB. This model only has a 13MP camera with a 2MP depth sensor while the selfie snapper is a 13MP.
The K40 is the baby brother of the lineup – it has a 5.7 inch panel but doesn’t arrive with a notch. On the back, we can find a 16MP camera and the front features an 8MP sensor with an LED flash.
Its memory configuration is different too: 2GB with 32GB worth of storage and there is a smaller 3,000mAh battery powering it up as well.
All three devices come with DTS:X 3D Surround Sound, MIL-STD 810 military standard compliance, a dedicated Google Assistant button and 2G, 3G and LTE support.
For now, LG didn’t reveal any prices, launch dates or availability but we’ll most likely know all the necessary details during the MWC, which is set to kick off on February 25th.
