LG is prepping for more than one product release this Sunday, at Mobile World Congress. Besides unveiling G5, a smartphone with an always-on display , the company will bring Friends to the party, too.
As VentureBeat writes, G5 will come with a suite of accessories that can be attached at will to the bottom of the phone, through the Magical Slot. If rumors are to be believed, the phone will sport and add-on VR camera, a robot and photo and audio support.
Evan Blass believes that the photography accessory will have a 1100mAh battery and buttons to zoom, activate the flash, shutter release and other professional camera functions. The audio one will contain a digital to analog converter for improved sound quality. If those aren’t enough, the company plans to sweep your off your feet with a spherical camera for 360-degree video and photo and the Rolling Bot, a robot that can be controlled through the smartphone.
What camp are you on – “the more accessories, the better” or “minimalism all the way”?
