Just as all the awesome announcements from CES 2019 wound down, MWC 2019 picks up with news of flagship phones and other mobile innovations.
Among them is this LG MWC 2019 teaser that promises a touchless, gesture-based device in just a few weeks.
After viewing it, the mind went from “Kinect” to “Minority Report”, especially since the company is said to debut the G8 ThinkQ at next month’s big event.
Samsung has already used a similar technology, the Air Gesture, in a few of its devices that featured proximity sensors, but that worked only by gesturing from up to 7 centimeters away. With that taken into account, something tells us LG is sitting on a breakthrough and we’re in for a spectacular announcement.
Other than this teaser, LG said absolutely nothing about its MWC 2019 plans, so we’ll have to wait until February 24 to find out more.
