Mercedes-Benz has teased new information about its upcoming Mercedes CLA-Class model just recently, even if the company will be officially introducing the car during CES in a few days.
Mercedes revealed a function called Interior Assistant that uses gesture-based controls that automatically illuminate the dome light above if it detects that the driver is reaching for items near the center or the front passenger seat. We can only assume it will not turn itself on if the car is in movement though.
Mercedes mentioned that the model, which is set for a 2020 release, will also benefit from augmented reality that will aid navigation, as well as an ability to understand voice commands, alongside something called Energizing Coach – a system with individual fitness recommendations that we don’t know anything about at the moment.
Mercedes has only revealed bits of information about the model so far so we’re looking forward to see what they will be revealing during the show.
