Microsoft just announced a laptop that could appeal to the heart of Apple consumers and win them over. Surface Laptop is a remarkable device in design, hardware and software #hardwaremagic
Surface Laptop is a premium laptop with a clamshell design. It’s the first to introduce Windows S to users, Microsoft’s new and improved operating system. Because of that though, it only works with apps from the Windows Store (if you don’t decide to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro). It has a 13.5 inch PixelSense display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and Microsoft’s happy to add that it’s the thinnest LCD touch model ever created. Yep, you can interact with the display with your fingers or via the company’s Surface Pen.
Surface Laptop has an aluminum exterior in four beautiful, stylish colors: platinum, burgundy, cobalt blue, and graphite gold. When you open it, you’ll see that the keyboard kept the texture of the alcantara fabric used on the Surface Pro 4 keyboard. Under the backlit keys, Microsoft hid the speakers, so that there are no grilles or holes for them on the sides of the device.
Under the hood, you will also find a powerful Intel Core i5 or i7 processor and plenty of battery life (up to 14.5 hours). This hardware makes the laptop more durable than a MacBook Air and even faster than the i7 MacBook Pro, according to Microsoft.
The company says Surface Laptop will ship from June 15th. The price starts at $999, if you go with a Core i5, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage configuration.
