A couple of years passed since we had the pleasure of testing a Misfit smartwatch but the wait is about to end. The company just announced the Misfit Vapor 2, a follow-up to last year’s smartwatch that encountered quite a few delays. Let’s hope this one makes it on time, right?
The Misfit Vapor 2 doesn’t only get upgrades on the hardware and software fronts but on the price as well: it went up $50, reaching $199.
For that money, you get a smartwatch with a 41 mm or 46 mm display featuring 328 pixels per inch and built-in GPS, so you can leave your phone at home if you’re planning a run. With NFC support as well, feel free to leave the wallet behind too.
It may not use the latest Snapdragon processor, opting for the Wear 2100 model, but the Misfit Vapor 2 runs Wear OS, so Google Assistant will come to your wrist.
On its website, Misfit also brags about 3 ATM water resistance and a music player with on-board storage that connects directly to wireless headphones. If you also look at the five straps or three bracelet options, that price hike doesn’t look so big anymore.
Pre-orders are already open, even though there is no official launch date as of now.
