They’ve done it again! Everyone is talking about the new Netflix Korean drama The Silent Sea, a sci-fi show that’s on its way to become another smash hit like Squid Game.
Netflix is continuing to invest in K-dramas and, after Hellbound, it added The Silent Sea as your next binge.
Just like Hellbound and Squid Game, The Silent Sea is a series that’s going to keep you on the edge of your seat – and it has a couple of Squid Game actors as well!
The premise will appeal not just to sci fi enthusiasts but to those concerned about the effects of climate change. The Silent Sea takes place in a future where climate change has almost exhausted the planet’s water, with drastic rations in place and a ban on pets in order to cope with desertification.
It’s in this world that a team of astronauts have to go and retrieve a mysterious sample from an abandoned research facility on the moon, a sample that could change everything.
You’ll recognize actors like Gong Yoo, the salesman who roped in Gi Hun, player 457, into the Squid Game, alongside Heo Sung-tae, who played the gangster villain Jang Deok-su.
