New Philips Signe and Play Collections Are Pretty Lit

Just a week after unveiling the Philips Hue Ascend collection and multiple other smart lighting solutions, Philips is back with two new collections. Available for purchase starting with October, the Hue White and Color Ambiance Signe Collection and the Hue Play light bars.

The Signe line consists of a 24-inch tall table light and a 59-inch tall floor light, both of them with an extremely minimalistic design but a huge range of lighting options. The Signe lights will let you choose from 16 million colors or 50,000 shades of light to set up the perfect ambiance for your next gaming or Netflix marathon. While you can’t have multiple colors on a single Signe, you can always invest in multiple lamps, right? A Signe table light will be available for $159.99, while the Signe floor light will set you back $249.99. Both of them will be up for pre-order in early September.

Moving on to the other new Philips smart home fixture, the Hue Play is essentially a color-changing light bar that can sit behind a TV or enhance your gaming crib.

You can link multiple Hue Play lights together with extension cables so the sky’s (and your budget) is the limit. A single base kit costs $69.99, a double one goes for $129.99, while extension units and extension cables are priced at $59.99 and $14,99.

As Philips plans to demo at least a few products at IFA Berlin, it’s likely we’ll see the Signe and Hue Play at their booth and they’ll hopefully provide some light entertainment.
