The last time Huawei Mate 20 Pro surfaced it was reported that the device will have a 6.9-inch curved OLED screen but it seems Huawei literally took it down a notch for the basic Huawei Mate 20.

XDA-Developers just posted a series of Huawei Mate 20 renders which were done after obtaining firmware files for the device, codenamed ‘Hima’, and after checking it out in a series of photos of an engineering sample. Because the publication wants to protect its Huawei source, it decided not to release actual photos but to recreate them in 3D.

As far as leaks go, this one seems to be pretty legit so, without further ado, check out the actual Huawei Mate 20, which sports a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with 2244 x 1080 px resolution. As you can see, the trend of using a waterdrop notch isn’t one that’s about to be bucked by Huawei, though the inclusion of a speaker just above is unusual.

XDA-Developers’ source did not manage to provide pictures of the back of the Mate 20 but did offer a few essential details. Expect to see the Huawei Mate 20 featuring a triple rear camera just like the Huawei P20 Pro and expect to handle it with care, as the device will have a glass back.

On the specs front, leaks point out to a Kirin 980 processor coupled with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, all of it powered by a 4,200 mAh battery that will also support wireless charging.

So far, Huawei has kept mum about this device but the company will bring some goodies at IFA 2018 at the end of the month ( which we’ll cover in depth!). That could be a great opportunity to debut the Mate 20 alongside the Kirin 980 chipset, which was also leaked recently.
