Nissan might take a completely new direction with its next EV. A new design proposal from Francois Bancon could soon enable us to see three-seater electric vehicles on the road #automagic
Called BladeGlider, the car prototype imagines a vehicle that simply glides on the highway, one driver at the wheel, two passengers behind. This arrangement of seats cannot be done following a classic architecture, so the BladeGlider has a triangular shape. The revolutionary plan for this four wheeled car should enable all passengers to have a panoramic view of the world around them.
The future Nissan EV has a narrow front track and is powered by Nissan’s lithium-ion battery technology that was first introduced in the LEAF model. Of course, battery modules have to be mounted low toward the rear, since Bancon has put all his efforts in building an aerodynamic car.
What do you think – should electric cars break the norm and embrace a completely different vehicle architecture?
