If Nokia brings back good memories, we have great news for you: the brand’s legacy, specifically Nokia 6, is coming to U.S. this summer #mobilemagic
HMD Global took the reins of Nokia’s smartphone wing and proudly presented four devices at this year’s Mobile World Congress. Three of them are what you could expect from a smartphone nowadays, while the fourth proved to be a present for the most nostalgic of us – the 3310 reincarnated.
Since then, the Android phones traveled to China and other Asian markets, ignoring U.S. completely. Well, not anymore. HMD Global is finally launching the Nokia 6 handset in the States this July. The device will sell on Amazom exclusively at a great price – $229. Two color variants will be available at first – black and silver -, with the more trendy ones (blue and copper) coming later this year.
Nokia 6 is the biggest handset from the Android line and with the better hardware. If you recall, HMD Global equipped the handset with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 16MP rear shooter with dual-tone LED flash and an 8MP selfie cam. The handset runs 7.0 Nougat and you can interact with Google Assistant like on a flagship device.
That said, there’s one striking feature that isn’t seen on flagships nowadays: a Snapdragon 430 chip. You’ll have to ask yourself if the idea of having Nokia back in your life is worth a performance sacrifice.
