Nubia’s next phone, Red Magic 5G, could very well be THE gaming phone to have this year.
The Nubia Red Magic series have always targeted mobile gamers and their latest phone in the series is no different. In fact, spec-wise, it might prove to be a gaming beast! And we’re not talking just about processing power, either.
Like most flagships this year, Nubia Red Magic 5G will, of course, run on the Snapdragon 865 chip. That is the latest chip from Qualcomm and a must for most phones intending on bringing 5G to users. So, naturally, this Nubia phone will have dual-mode 5G connectivity.
Besides that, the smartphone’s refresh rate will not only equal the best on the market right now (120Hz) but surpass it. We expect to see this smartphone with a 144Hz refresh rate screen at launch.
Under the hood, you’ll find Samsung’s LPDDR5 RAM, which is about 1.3 times faster than previous mobile memory (LPDDR4X, 4266Mb/s) that is found in today’s high-end smartphones. The new chip also uses up to 30 percent less power than its predecessor.
As for the rest of the specs, we do know Nubia Red Magic 5 will have 16GB of RAM, a 64MP main camera (not bad for a gaming phone) and a cooling fan.
The core power will definitely be there, so if they manage to create an equally impressive user experience, Red Magic 5G may be on gamers’ wishlists.
