Rumors have surfaced that Nvidia is getting ready to launch a new Shield tablet this year #mobilemagic
If you’ve always appreciated their line for the mobile gaming experience offered and the availability of games, then the news is coming at the right time. All we know so far are size, weight and a couple more features, with full specs to be merely speculations at the moment.
The next Shield tablet will measure 8.6 inches X 4.8 inches X 0.3 inches, weighing up to 12.3 oz. The device will have micro-USB connectivity, support for 5GHz and 2.4GHz 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth Low Energy support, according to FCC.
It would be nice to have NVIDIA’s Tegra X1 SoC and additional RAM on board, as well as a QHD resolution panel but until we know more, there still remains a question: with VR at the corner and gaming consoles getting better by the day, can gaming tablets still find a place under the sun?
