After Google Pixel, Samsung, LG and a couple other big phone manufacturers “signed up” for Android Nougat update, OnePlus decided to get in on the action. This month, the company will not only release a OnePlus 3 successor but also a “community” Nougat beta for the OnePlus 3 #mobilemagic
After combining two software teams – the one working on HydrogenOS (for devices in China) and the one at OxygenOS (for devices in the rest of the world) -, OnePlus seems to finally be ready to play in the big league. After major companies announced the Nougat update to their devices, the manufacturer is joining the ranks, confirms Brian Yoon.
This month, a beta will be ready for the chosen few who own a OnePlus 3. By the end of the year, if everything turns out fine, all OnePlus 3 owners will get a taste of Android Nougat. Afterwards, users that still own a OnePlus 2 will be able to take advantage of the same software update.
Don’t forget – next week, on November 15, an upgraded OnePlus 3 will be revealed in an event starting from 1.00 PM EST.
