Board games and tabletop role-playing games might not be as exciting as video and VR ones… but they can become. Boogie Dice are smart dice that start to roll at the sound of a clap, snap or bang on the table #objectmagic

The dice are see-through, sound activated and totally programmable through a dedicated app. Depending on the game you’re playing (D&D or Monopoly, for example), Boogie Dice can be more or less sensitive to noise and even start moving after a specific length of time. Even better, you can set the dice to move when you raise your hand and pick it up or let it randomly choose what to do during the game.

So what makes these dice tick? Inside them, there’s a vibration motor, microphone,microprocessor, a rechargeable battery and 3 LED lights. When the microphone picks up a motion or noise, the motor starts rotating leading to its bouncy moves. A full charge enables it to roll for 30 minutes continously, that’s about 500 individual times for players. To recharge it, you have to put it in the special dock for 40 minutes, give or take.
