Sony’s Future of Gaming event has been rescheduled after being postponed. It will now be held on June 11th, 1PM PDT/9PM BST.
In a post on the PlayStation blog, Senior Director SIE Content Communications Sid Shuman confirmed that the event will now be held this week Thursday. It was previously postponed from its original June 4th date to give space for the important voices and conversations happening around the globe regarding structural racism.
Additionally, more information about the event was released. While it was previously known that the event would run about an hour and feature launch title and other PS5 gameplay, Shuman further elaborated on what fans can expect. For example, the entire presentation will be rendered in 1080p at 30fps rather than 4K due to time and work-from-home constraints. There will also be some audio showcase, so Shuman suggests that viewers wear headphones.
Stay tuned for a recap of the event!
