Razer is getting closer to showcasing its first smartphone. The invitations have been sent and the specs are already leaking on every major tech site #mobilemagic
As you’d expect, the smartphone was built with gaming and gamers in mind. Although the details are still scarce, we have some clue regarding the hardware of the device, thanks to a listing on GFXBench.
It is believed that the Razer Phone will have a 5.7-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and an impressive 8GB of RAM. Considering most of the flagships from recent years have stuck with a safe, predictable 4GB of RAM, this is quite an ambitious plan. There have been several devices to hit the market with 6GB of RAM but Razer is one of the few exciting and serious brand that have jumped directly to eight.
That said, this feature isn’t enough to destroy the competition. The entire package counts. As we understand, Razer plans to ship their first phone with a Snapdragon 835 processor and a custom version of Android on top of Nougat. No word of Oreo, yet.
As for camera and storage, the company could go with only one 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front shooter with 64GB of internal storage.
The official features will come to light in a month, says Razer, specifically on November 1st.
