Thanks to the use of machine learning that Google Translate employs, the feature is, arguably, one of the best translation platforms out there. Now Google has decided to bring the real-time translation capabilities the Pixel Buds sported thanks to Google Translate, to all Google Assistant-powered headphones.
Google has recently updated one of the Pixel Buds support pages with a new section where they state that ‘Google Translate is available on all Assistant-optimized headphones and Android phones.’
This move basically opens up the feature to pretty much everyone that owns compatible headphones. But even if iOS users can download Google Assistant if they want to and use it on the Assistant-powered headphones, that doesn’t mean that the translation feature will also be transferred. At least, not that we are aware of at the moment.
Google has not been very clear in their update when exactly the feature will start rolling out to individual headphones though. So if you do own any of the Assistant-powered headphones, the only thing you can do is actually give it a shot and see if the feature works for you.
